“When Luck Runs Dry”, a short film completely student made and crowd funded, follows the story of Jolene, a young woman from a mining town seeking a name for herself and gold, when she runs into trouble in the Wild West. Set in the 1940’s, “When Luck Runs Dry” takes a different approach to the classic western genre, and female liberation.
